LATVIAN INTERPRETER JOBS IN SOUTH BUCKINGHAMSHIRE — we are a leading Interpreting and Translation Company in the UK providing face to face and remote interpreting services for Hospitals, Councils, Insurance Companies and other public and private sector organisations. We are urgently seeking Latvian interpreters for Beaconsfield, Amersham, Chesham, Chalfont St Giles, Chalfont St Peter, Gerrards Cross, High Wycombe, Iver, Little Chalfont, Marlow and surrounding areas.
Responsibilities
* Interpret for patients, clients and end-users who speak limited or no English at all. Duties will also include attending hospitals, GP Practices, Social Services, Job Centres and other public and private sector organisations. As a community interpreter, you may also attend Home Visits to provide interpretation services for patients and clients at their premises but you will always be accompanied by a professional.
Requirements / Qualifications
* Excellent command of both English and Latvian; comprehensive understanding of the cultural dynamics of both languages; mastery of correct word order and grammar in phrases and sentences.
* Wide vocabulary including knowledge of synonyms, idiomatic expressions, proverbs and quotations to accurately express themselves in both languages.
* Good communication skills such as clear enunciation, pronunciation and a professional tone of voice.
* Competency in key industries such as Medical, Financial, Insurance, Courts & Tribunals, Police, and/or Government Agencies; familiarity with terminology, procedures and products in those industries.
* DBS certificate, copy of educational qualifications, two references, and a DPSI or Community Interpreting Certificate.
