As a Business Development Manager, you will be at the forefront of our growth strategy. Your responsibilities will include:
1. Driving new business acquisition and increasing market share for new and used equipment.
2. Growing aftermarket sales and identifying opportunities for repower and rebuild solutions.
3. Increasing Customer Value Agreements (CVA) penetration and commodity sales per customer.
4. Building and nurturing long-term partnerships with both new and existing customers.
5. Collaborating with internal teams to ensure seamless service delivery and customer satisfaction.
6. Maximising Over the Counter (OTC) spend at our Inverness and Aberdeen branches.
7. Maintaining accurate records of leads, opportunities, and lost sales in the CRM system.
8. Ensuring full coverage of the designated area, including travel and occasional overnight stays.
Knowledge, Skills & Experience:
We’re looking for someone who brings a mix of commercial acumen, customer focus, and a proactive mindset:
9. Proven experience in business development, sales, or account management, ideally in a technical or industrial sector.
10. Strong self-motivation and the ability to work independently.
11. Excellent communication skills – both verbal and written.
12. High level of numerical reasoning and attention to detail.
13. Proficient in CRM systems and general IT tools.
14. Strong time management and the ability to prioritise effectively.
15. Willingness to travel extensively across the region and stay away from home when required.
16. A continuous improvement mindset and a passion for learning.
