Multi-Disciplinary Teams Co-ordinator - Cancer Services
We are looking for an enthusiastic person to join the team providing administrative support to our Cancer Multidisciplinary Team Meetings for Hywel Dda.
The successful candidate must be a confident individual, who is comfortable with communicating with other professionals within the Multidisciplinary team.
Main duties of the job
The delivery of cancer services is governed by the All Wales Cancer Standards that outline the organisational, diagnostic and treatment standards expected of all cancer site- specific MDTs. The core standards therefore define the core aspects of the service the Health Board should be providing to all cancer patients.
The post holder is also recognised in the Cancer Standards as an essential component of the MDTs and by providing comprehensive administrative support will deliver an essential element for effective MDT working.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.

Person Specification
Qualifications and Knowledge
* NVQ Level 3 or equivalent level of knowledge/ experience in a Cancer Service or Cancer setting
* Knowledge of site-specific cancer, including medical terminology and an understanding of cancer pathways
* Knowledge of It systems / data entry / word processing and spreadsheets
* IT related qualification eg ECDL
* RSA/OCR 3 or equivalent experience
Experience
* Administration and office experience
* Experience of IT systems / data entry / word processing and spreadsheets with the ability to touch type at speed
* Experience of working in the NHS
Other
* Flexible approach to needs of service
* Able to travel to various sites within and outside the Health Board to attend meetings or training venues
* Welsh Speaker (Level 1)
