The Role We are seeking passionate, dedicated Maths Teachers to deliver Functional Skills Maths at Entry 3 and Level 1 to adult and post‑16 learners in Newcastle. You will join a supportive team, helping learners build confidence and essential maths skills that support progression. What’s on offer? £30,000–£40,000 per annum Teacher’s pension scheme – 28.68% employer contribution Excellent holiday allowance Who We’re Looking For You will have : Proven experience delivering GCSE or functional skills maths – whether that is to secondary students or post 16 – any experience delivering to resit students is a huge advantage. Ability to design differentiated lessons, assess learner progress, and support mixed‑ability groups to achieve outcomes. Willingness and flexibility to adapt teaching style for further education/adult learners’ needs. Main Responsibilities Plan and deliver engaging Functional Skills Maths lessons at Entry 3 and Level 1. Assess and monitor learners’ progress, provide feedback, set learning goals. Create inclusive and supportive learning environments tailored to adult/post‑16 learners. Work collaboratively with colleagues to share resources, track attendance, and support overall learner achievement and development. Prepare students for assessments and manage exam entries where required.
