SEND Behaviour Mentor / Teaching Assistant

Salary: £100 – £125 per day (plus CPD opportunities)

We are looking for a passionate and resilient SEND Behaviour Mentor / Teaching Assistant to join a supportive primary school in Uxbridge. This is a fantastic opportunity to work closely with children who have Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs and make a real difference in their daily school experience.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Provide 1:1 and small-group support for pupils with SEMH needs
2. Develop and implement positive behaviour strategies in collaboration with the SENCO
3. Support children in building resilience, confidence, and self-regulation skills
4. Create and deliver structured activities that promote social and emotional development
5. Work closely with teachers, parents, and external agencies to ensure consistent support
What We’re Looking For:
6. Experience supporting children with SEMH or behavioural needs (school, youth work, mentoring, or similar)
7. A calm, consistent, and patient approach to behaviour management
8. Strong interpersonal and communication skills
9. Resilience and the ability to build trusting relationships
10. A genuine passion for supporting children with additional needs
