Deliver leadership advice in challenging environments as a Legal Officer with the Army Legal Services (ALS).
In this varied role you could be involved with prosecuting soldiers charged with offences at courts martials, advising senior commanders on rules of engagement during operations abroad, or travelling worldwide to practice law without timesheet or billable hour targets.
Training & Development
 * Train at the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst, learning basic military skills, tactics and leadership.
 * Complete specialist legal training in military law, the law of armed conflict, international humanitarian law and intelligence law.
 * Spend three months with a combat or combat support unit to gain operational experience.
 * No prior experience required – world‑class training at Sandhurst develops the transferable leadership skills needed to motivate and support your team.
 * Outside Sandhurst, continue to learn and grow through Adventurous Training and international travel, leading expeditions, running operations abroad, or delivering humanitarian aid to communities in need.
Qualifications
 * Age between 23 and 32 years.
 * Qualified solicitor, barrister or Scottish advocate, fully qualified in England and Wales, Scotland or Northern Ireland.
 * Completed training contract or pupillage.
 * Pass a basic fitness test.
