The Role
As a Electrical Systems Engineer, you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. You will be at the forefront of developing, designing and implementing innovative new vehicle designs.
Day-to-day, you’ll be responsible for the full design process from concept development through to production ready designs.
1. Collaborate with teams to develop vehicle design concepts
2. Utilise CAD software to create electrical schematics, 2D and 3D models of components and systems
3. Developing virtual and physical prototypes to test and refine ideas and concepts
4. Report on quality activities and performance on a regular basis
5. Provide leadership, coordination and coaching to the team
This role is full time, 37.5 hours per week and provides hybrid working arrangements
Experience Required of the Electrical Systems Engineer
6. Knowledge and understanding of electrical systems and EMC design practices
7. Profficiency in CAD software i.e. AutoCAD, SolidWorks etc
8. Strong understanding of vehicle engineering principles
9. Knowledge of industry specific standards and regulations
10. Ideally understanding of defence standards 61-5 and 59-
Qualifications for the Electrical Systems Engineer
11. Degree level qualified in relevant engineering subject
