Job Description
* Process end-to-end payroll for approximately 240 staff on a fortnightly basis
* Maintain payroll records and ensure compliance with relevant legislation and internal policies
* Prepare and distribute payslips and other payroll documentation
* Address payroll-related queries and resolve issues promptly
* Assist with payroll reporting, reconciliations, and audits
* Ensure correct application of awards, enterprise agreements, and statutory requirements
* Support payroll-related data entry and documentation for the finance team
* Collaborate with HR and the CEO on contract updates and employee communications
* Identify opportunities to improve payroll processes and implement efficiencies
The Successful Applicant
A successful Payroll Officer should have:
* Previous experience in end-to-end payroll processing.
* Knowledge of relevant payroll software (Employment Hero, KeyPay or ELMO)
* Understanding of Australian payroll legislation and compliance requirements.
* Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
* Ability to work independently and meet deadlines under minimal supervision.
* Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other relevant office software.
