The Role:
The successful Corporate Business Development Manager will be responsible for managing and developing a pipeline of new business opportunities worth millions of pounds with national multisite organisations within the public and private sectors such as education, hospitals, hotel chains, and retail. The role involves managing daily activities, proactive business meetings, and driving sales through high customer service levels.
Key Responsibilities:
* Proactively seek new business nationally to meet targets
* Achieve and exceed quarterly/annual new business targets
* Report calls, leads, quotes, and contracts on the CRM
* Produce and present performance reports
* Coordinate with internal stakeholders to implement sales initiatives
* Serve as the primary interface for target customers
* Present to board level
* Collaborate with tenders and bids team for tender submissions
* Manage sales prospecting and pricing negotiations

Candidate Criteria:
* Experience in corporate sales of high-value, complex services
* Ideally background in waste or facilities management
* Sold at head office level to decision-makers
* Sold £500,000-£1+ million orders
* Experience in consultative sales, bids, and tenders
* Track record of new business sales
