Location: Ellesmere Port, North West
Salary: £48,000 + benefits + bonus scheme + on call payment (potential up to £60,000)
Hours: Monday to Friday 8:00am to 4:00pm + overtime when required

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced EC&I Maintenance Technician to join a forward-thinking team and make a real impact.
Reporting to the EC&I Maintenance Supervisor, you will carry out planned, preventative, and reactive maintenance on electrical and control systems, ensuring compliance with safety standards and environmental permits. As an EC&I Technician you will be supporting pre-commissioning, hot commissioning, and helping shape operational standards from day one.

Key Responsibilities
* Perform maintenance, fault diagnosis, and repair of electrical equipment and infrastructure
* Ensure compliance with safety rules, codes of practice, and management instructions
* Report and investigate health, safety, and environmental incidents
* Execute proactive and reactive maintenance activities to OEM standards
* Assist in developing maintenance documentation and strategies
* Work with CMMS to prioritise and manage tasks efficiently
* Support outage planning and execution
* Supervise contractors, reviewing risk assessments and quality of work
* Maintain plant cleanliness and housekeeping standards
* Participate in H&S meetings and inspections
* Contribute to continuous improvement and root cause analysis
Qualifications & Experience
* Recognised Electrical/Instrumentation apprenticeship or equivalent qualifications
* Strong EC&I background in ERF, process plant, or similar environment
* Experience with switchgear, control gear, instrumentation, motors, VSDs, DCS, and SCADA
* Minimum 5 years' practical electrical/instrumentation experience
* Knowledge of CMMS and maintenance planning
* Ability to read technical drawings, P&IDs, and schematics
* IOSH or NEBOSH safety qualification (advantageous)
