The Role:
As a day-to-day cover teacher, you’ll deliver engaging lessons across a range of primary year groups, ensuring continuity of learning in the absence of regular staff. The role requires strong classroom management, adaptability, and the ability to build rapport quickly with pupils and staff. You will play a key part in upholding the school’s ethos during each placement.
Responsibilities:
* Teach pre-planned lessons across various primary year groups
* Maintain a calm, inclusive, and effective learning environment
* Work collaboratively with teaching assistants and school staff
* Support student learning and wellbeing during your cover
* Adapt to the needs of different classes and year groups
Requirements:
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
* Previous experience teaching in primary settings
* Strong behaviour management and classroom adaptability
* Excellent communication and organisational skills
* Flexible, positive, and reliable approach to teaching
