Our Technology team sits within the Strategy and Execution team at EY, which provides technology, operations and finance advice to corporate and private equity firms. The team comprises advisors with specialist commercial, operations, software, technology, cyber, finance and deal experience.
The Opportunity
We are seeking to expand our team with IT consultants across sectors such as Private Equity, Digital and Telecoms. As an Assistant Director, you will advise clients across all sectors, supporting key decision makers in developing and executing strategies for transactions. Your technical expertise will be applied throughout the M&A lifecycle – pre‑deal diligence, portfolio review, corporate carve‑outs and integrations.
Your Key Responsibilities
* Assist in business origination, including pitches and presentations, and attend client meetings to help sell work and work in a transaction environment with tight M&A timeframes.
* Use your knowledge of technical IT topics to work on buy‑side and sell‑side mandates across the transaction lifecycle.
* Lead blended project teams comprising colleagues from our transactions and advisory practices.
* Lead complex engagements, including commercials, resourcing and risk.
* Lead on business origination, including use of networks and delivery of pitches and presentations to senior clients.
* Lead practice development initiatives and training programmes, supporting a great workplace.
* Act as a role model and support the development of junior team members, including recruitment and training responsibilities.

Qualifications
* Professional services or consulting experience, especially transactions: due diligence, carve‑out or integration experience.
* Broad knowledge and deep understanding of typical IT functions, including enterprise architecture, strategy, governance, systems integration, application development, service delivery and infrastructure.
* Experience working with private equity and senior IT stakeholders.
* Ability to build strong relationships with senior clients, influence, advise and support key decision makers.
* Demonstrated aptitude for quantitative and qualitative analysis.
* Effective written and verbal communication skills.
* Experience delivering high‑quality reports and presentations.
* Experience leading large, complex, global delivery programmes.
* Strong leadership skills with diverse teams and ability to develop juniors.
