Role Overview
In a Nutshell…
We have a fantastic opportunity for a Development Manager to join our team within Vistry Kent, at our West Malling office. As our Development Manager, you will be Responsible for the pre-construction phases of development projects; overseeing all legal, design and planning issues and coordinating with estimating, mobilisation, and construction teams.
General - To support the Regional Development Director and senior members of the Development team in the efficient running of the Development function. To ensure that allocated Company developments are processed and controlled with appropriate detail and due diligence instilled to add or protect value at all points of the development in order to satisfy financial performance criteria, project budgets and programme requirements.
Financials – To support the Regional Development Director and senior members of the Development team to manage and ensure overall financial viability of development is maintained and controlled at all times including liaison with the Finance department to structure emerging business plans and 5 year forecasts.
Legal - To support the Regional Development Director and senior members of the Development team to manage and oversee the legal requirements are met for a development in their responsibility
Planning - To support the Regional Development Director and senior members of the Development team to secured pre-start on site activities including ensuring following planning conditions are discharged either directly or via liaison with the Technical team. (Region dependent)
Internal Governance - To support the Regional Development Director and senior members of the Development team to secure internal governance approval and ensure that all other necessary permissions have been applied for and secured so that delays in developments do not occur.
The Development Manager will be expected to coordinate the skills and resources of each function within the organisation together with appointing and managing external consultants to ensure that each development is optimized through efficient management.
