Area Sales Manager – Stoves and Fireplaces Job Title: Southern Area Sales Manager – Wood Burning Stoves Industry Sector: Wood Burning Stoves, Limestone Fireplaces, Domestic Solid Fuel, Secondary Heating, Fireplace Retail Showrooms, Plumbing & Heating Merchants and Electrical Wholesalers Area to be covered: South – (South of a line from Gloucester to Kings Lynn) Remuneration: £45,000 £12,000-£15,000 Commission Benefits: Fully expensed Hybrid Car full benefits package The role of the Area Sales Manager – Wood Burning Stoves will involve: * Field sales position selling our clients manufactured range of domestic solid fuel stove ranges * Selling into an established network of retail fireplace specialist showrooms * Initially responsible for circa 130 retail showroom accounts with a turnover of approx. £1.8m * 80-90% account management/ account development role, huge opportunity for growth as the South East and South West have the highest concentration of wood burners in the UK (North West region has a turnover of £3m) * 10-20% of your time weeding out poor performing accounts and replacing these with new independent retailers * Fireplace retailers vary in size from £20,000 to £250,000 turnover * Working in conjunction with a field sales person promoting our clients range of gas and electric fires * Promoting products and obtaining display space * Developing relationship with independent retail managers/ owners * 1st month will be heavily product training centric (conducted by Stoves sales Director) The ideal applicant will be an Area Sales Manager – Wood Burning Stoves with: * Must have field sales experience within the independent retail showroom market * Experience selling into installers and trade shops may be beneficial for future business development * Ideally sold associated products to stoves or fireplace, heating products etc. * Technical sales capability (may consider KBB product sales backgrounds with strong technical capability and strong customer base experience) * Team player, self-motivated comfortable with lone working and occasional overnight stays * Knowledge of different sales techniques and pipeline management * “Roll sleeves up” mentality The Company: * Est. 30 Years * £15m turnover * One of the largest and friendliest companies operating in the domestic secondary heating and fireplace market * 50 employees Mitchell Maguire is a specialist Construction Field Sales Recruitment Consultancy, dealing exclusively with Construction Field Sales Jobs, Construction field sales vacancies and Specification field sales positions within: Wood Burning Stoves, Limestone Fireplaces, Domestic Solid Fuel, Secondary Heating, Fireplace Retail Showrooms, Plumbing & Heating Merchants and Electrical Wholesalers
