Job Summary
We are recruiting the final two full‑time Personal Assistants to complete an outstanding care team. You will support a 36‑year‑old student teacher with complex health conditions, assisting physically and providing the necessary care while maintaining independence and routine in home and school settings.
Responsibilities
* Assist with daily personal care duties as required.
* Prepare and cook allergy/intolerance‑friendly nutritious meals every day.
* Provide complex medical and personal care during lone working shifts.
* Accompany the care recipient to social activities such as cinema, live music, theatre, and nightlife events in Newcastle.
* Support independence at home (bungalow in Cramlington) and at school, remaining discreetly available for medical/care needs.
* Drive a modified automatic Mercedes Sprinter Van safely.
Shift Patterns
(36‑hour a week contract – a mixture of 12‑hour day and overnight shifts, with regular weekend shifts and roughly one long weekend off per month.)
* Week 1 – Tuesday & Wednesday night (20:00‑08:00); Saturday day (08:00‑20:00).
* Week 2 – Monday & Tuesday day (08:00‑20:00); Saturday night (20:00‑08:00).
* Week 3 – Thursday & Friday night (20:00‑08:00); Sunday day (20:00‑08:00).
* Week 4 – Monday night (20:00‑08:00); Wednesday & Thursday day (08:00‑20:00).
Essential Requirements
* Full Clean UK Driving Licence.
* Automatic Mercedes Sprinter Van (adapted) can be safely driven.
* Non‑smoker, no perfume or aftershave worn due to life‑threatening allergy.
* Female with minimum 1 year of physical care experience (gender requirement as per Health and Social Care Act 2008).
* No long/false nails, rings/watches, or perfume/aftershave on shift (due to asthma/allergies and fragile skin).
* Permission to work in the U.K. at the start of employment.
