Location: Home-based (with UK-wide travel as required)
Salary: per annum (dependent on experience)
Plus: Access to annual bonus scheme
Hours: Monday to Friday 37.5 hours per week

About the Role
Educate by Medica is a global provider of continuing professional development (CPD) delivering world‑class education across national and international markets. We are seeking a skilled and motivated Interim Events Manager to join our team on a maternity cover basis.
This is a senior hands‑on role offering the opportunity to lead the delivery of our diverse portfolio of educational events including thought leadership initiatives planned for 2026. You will be instrumental in driving strategic alignment and commercialisation across our projects ensuring every event reflects our commitment to excellence.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead the end‑to‑end planning and delivery of Educate by Medica’s live and virtual radiology events
* Manage all logistical aspects from concept development to post‑event evaluation
* Ensure events meet high professional standards and align with brand and organisational goals
* Develop and manage project timelines, budgets and operational plans
* Collaborate with internal teams, clinical speakers and external partners
* Build strong relationships with sponsors, venues, suppliers and delegates
* Coordinate speaker and delegate communications and materials
* Support the development of new event formats and commercial initiatives
* Contribute to strategic planning for future events including roundtables and thought leadership
* Work closely with marketing, commercial and clinical teams to ensure event alignment
* Champion continuous improvement in event delivery and delegate experience
* Monitor performance metrics and provide insights for optimisation
* Ensure compliance with health and safety, data protection and regulatory standards
* Maintain accurate documentation including budgets, contracts and feedback reports
About You
* Experienced in managing B2B and educational events (other industries will be considered if skills and experience are transferable)
* Highly organised with strong project management skills
* A confident communicator comfortable engaging with senior stakeholders
* Skilled in hosting both virtual and in‑person events
* Proficient in budget management and preparing event documentation
* Detail‑oriented with a commitment to quality and professionalism
* Tech‑savvy with proficiency in Microsoft Office and event management tools
* Experience with CPD‑accredited or healthcare education events (desirable)
* Familiarity with platforms like Zoom (desirable)
* Background in commercial or international education settings (desirable)
