We are seeking an Account Manager (SFIA 4) who can take full ownership of client and stakeholder relationships, oversee operational delivery, and ensure that commercial and service commitments are consistently met. You will play a pivotal role in shaping client engagement, managing risk, and translating organisational objectives into successful delivery outcomes.
Your Role as an Account Manager
As a permanent Account Manager within our client-facing teams, you will be responsible for building and maintaining strong, productive stakeholder relationships while ensuring the smooth delivery of complex digital programmes. You will actively manage commercial and contractual performance, driving continuous improvement across service delivery and client engagement.
Your responsibilities will include:
* Stakeholder Management. Build and manage productive relationships with stakeholders across complex digital programmes, ensuring expectations are understood and met.
* Commercial Oversight. Monitor programme performance against KPIs and SLAs, managing risks, scope creep, and resourcing challenges.
* Contract Management. Support contract management activities, including subcontracts, contract delivery tracking, and change control.
* Governance & Reporting. Facilitate commercial and service review meetings with clients and partners, providing clear updates, action tracking, and insights.
* Feedback & Improvement. Collect stakeholder feedback, resolve issues, and drive service improvements, influencing roadmap planning where appropriate.
* Bid & Proposal Support. Contribute delivery planning, resourcing estimates, and relationship intelligence to bids and proposals.
* Risk & Escalation Management. Identify and escalate risks to delivery and contractual performance, proposing mitigations or contract variations.
* Resource & Capability Management. Maintain visibility of capability demand, support recruitment, and facilitate clear communication and status updates.
* Financial Management. Track budgets, delivery burn rate, and provide accurate financial reporting inputs.

Technical Expertise
We are seeking an Account Manager with a proven track record of managing complex client relationships and delivering operational excellence in commercial or contract-driven environments. Key expertise includes:
* Relationship Management. Builds and enhances client and partner relationships, manages communication and feedback loops
* Contract Management. Manages operational delivery of contracts, ensuring performance meets obligations
* Project Management. Coordinates delivery activity, tracks progress, manages risks and dependencies
* Financial Management. Contributes to commercial forecasts, monitors delivery against budgets
* Stakeholder Engagement. Confident in facilitating governance and performance meetings with senior internal and client stakeholders.
* Delivery Problem-Solving. Experienced in resolving issues in commercially sensitive or high-pressure environments.
* Industry Knowledge. Experience in Defence, government, or regulated industries.
* Methodologies. Understanding of Agile and Waterfall delivery approaches, cost models, and invoicing mechanisms.
* Communication Skills. Strong verbal and written communication, balancing diplomacy with clarity.

Package
* Salary £55k Bonus 5%
* 25 days holiday increasing annually up to a maximum of 30 days
