Urgent Vacancies | SEN Teaching Assistants – Pentre
Teaching Personnel are urgently seeking dedicated SEN Teaching Assistants to join specialist schools in Pentre. These are immediate start roles, supporting children and young people with a range of Additional Learning Needs (ALN) and complex needs.
This is a fantastic opportunity if you are passionate about making a difference and confident working in challenging but rewarding environments.
Role Overview:
* Supporting pupils on a 1:1 and small group basis with a variety of SEN, including autism, ADHD, speech & language needs, and behavioural difficulties.
* Assisting with learning, communication, and life skills development.
* Using de-escalation techniques and behaviour management strategies.
* Providing personal care support when required.
* Working closely with teachers and SENCOs to deliver tailored support plans.
Requirements:
✅ Previous SEN/ALN experience (classroom, residential, or care settings)
✅ Confident managing challenging behaviour
✅ Manual Handling/Team Teach training (or willingness to complete)
✅ Full-time availability preferred
✅ Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
