Job Overview
FM Assistant, Band 2 – £12.92 per hour (£25,272 per annum pro rata). Harland Centre, Westcliff. 12 hours per week, 16:00–20:00.
The post holder will participate in the delivery of in‑house Facilities Management services within a specified area of the Trust, including in‑patient wards, administrative and clinical areas, and retail outlets.
Main duties of the job
* Provide domestic services in accordance with Trust policies, procedures, and National Standards of Cleanliness.
* Undertake general cleaning duties – vacuuming, sweeping, scrubbing and mopping floors; high and low dusting.
* Descale taps and fixtures in line with cleaning schedules.
* Dispose of, segregate, and store general, recyclable, and clinical waste per Trust policies.
* Report environmental issues that may affect cleaning standards to the Supervisor.
Food Services (Where Applicable)
* Assist with the regeneration of cook‑chill meals, checking, recording, and monitoring food temperatures.
* Prepare basic food items such as soup, gravy, and custard to support meal service.
* Clean all crockery, cutlery, and utensils used during meal service.
* Ensure protective items are used correctly and laundered per Trust procedures.
Additional Responsibilities
* Participate in supervision, appraisal, and performance review processes in accordance with Trust policy.
* Comply with Trust policies, procedures, and health and safety requirements at all times.
* Attend and complete mandatory role‑specific training, including training delivered via digital systems.
