Fletchers Solicitors is a leading and fast-growing law firm specialising in Clinical Negligence and Personal Injury. As part of our continued expansion, we are recruiting Cost Negotiators and Senior Cost Negotiators to join our highly experienced Costs team.

Main Responsibilities:
14. Managing own caseload using case management software
15. Instruct Counsel to attend Detailed Assessment/Oral review or alternatively conduct own hearings.
16. Hit agreed recovery targets.
17. Undertaking accurate valuation
18. Constant communication with fee earners
19. Providing head of team updates on forecasts, recoveries, issue files
20. Hit agreed daily chargeable hours target.
21. Keep MI fully up to date and accurate.
22. Deal with aged debt where applicable
23. Review points of dispute
24. Assist in bundle preparation.
25. Ensure SLA/Pipeline metrics adhered to
26. Follow agreed processes.
27. Providing legal teams with costs advice
28. Attending team meetings
29. Providing feedback on recoveries/files/fee earning practices

Essential Skills and Experience:
30. Proven experience in dealing with high value Litigation and Negotiation cases.
31. Experience of Proclaim
32. Experience of Cost Master
33. Organisational, planning and communication skills.
34. Excellent customer service skills
35. Good general IT skills
36. Time management
37. Ability to use initiative.
38. Working effectively within a team.
39. Attention to detail and the ability to meet tight deadlines.
