This rewarding role involves supporting pupils with complex additional needs within a structured and nurturing educational environment. The successful candidate will play a key role in helping pupils access learning, build confidence, develop independence, and feel safe and supported throughout the school day. This opportunity is ideal for individuals who are passionate about supporting children and young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), including Autism (ASC), communication difficulties, SEMH needs, and complex learning needs. As a Specialist Education & Care Assistant, you will: - Support pupils in line with their Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs) - Assist with communication development and emotional regulation strategies - Provide personal care support where required - Work collaboratively with teaching staff, therapists, and wider support teams - Help maintain a safe, structured, and nurturing learning environment - Encourage independence, engagement, and positive social interaction - Support pupils during classroom activities and throughout the wider school day - Build positive relationships that promote confidence and emotional wellbeing Your support will make a genuine difference in helping pupils achieve positive educational and personal outcomes.
