A competitive base salary of £40,170, with on-target earnings of up to £52,000.
A guaranteed overtime option increases your base salary to £44,385, plus additional overtime and bonus opportunities.
40 hours per week, core hours 8:30am‑5pm, and 1 in 4 Saturdays. Opportunities in East Midlands (Derby, Chesterfield).
As an RAC Mobile Mechanic in the Service, Maintenance and Repair division, you’ll bring expert vehicle maintenance and diagnostic skills directly to our customers, wherever they are. From driveways to office car parks, you’ll deliver first‑class service without the constraints of a traditional garage. We’ll equip you for success from day one – with your own RAC van, fuel card, full uniform, essential tools, and diagnostic kit all provided.
Earnings
* Base salary of £40,170.
* Up to £52,000 through bonuses and premium‑rate overtime.

Responsibilities
* Deliver first‑class service on driveways and office car parks.
* Provide vehicle maintenance and diagnostic services.
* Manage stock, reporting and keep customer conversations flowing.
* Represent the RAC with pride on every visit.
Candidate Profile
* Level 2 light vehicle maintenance qualification (or equivalent).
* At least 2 years’ hands‑on experience as a vehicle technician with a range of light vehicles.
* Full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points.
* Excellent interpersonal skills, eager to mix things up and think on your feet.
