Salary: £95 per day initially

A primary school in Harrow borough is seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to join their welcoming team from January. This full-time role will run initially until the end of the academic year, with the potential to become a permanent position.
The role involves working primarily in a Year 4 classroom, supporting learning across the curriculum, alongside providing targeted support for pupils with special educational needs, including Autism.
The Role
As a Teaching Assistant in this team, you will:
Support teaching and learning in a Year 4 classroom, helping pupils to access lessons and complete tasks
Work 1:1 or in small groups with pupils with additional needs, including those with profound learning or social needs
Support children during lunch and break times, providing supervision and targeted support
Foster a safe, inclusive, and nurturing environment that promotes learning and wellbeing
Work closely with teachers, SEN coordinators, and support staff to ensure pupils make consistent progress
The Ideal Candidate
We are looking for someone who:
Is patient, resilient, and understanding, particularly when working with pupils with SEND
Has experience working with primary-aged children
Demonstrates strong communication, teamwork, and organisational skills
Can adapt to a variety of classroom situations and support pupils across the school
