Job Description:
This company is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Systems Engineer to join their team. As a Systems Engineer, you will play a crucial role in supporting the development of the Skynet 6A Management System.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Create Systems Design based on customer requirements
2. Work with the System Design Authority and Product Owner to populate the Product Backlog
3. Capture the software architecture in the UML model
4. Capture and detail the interaction between software components
5. Generate ICD and IRD documentation
6. Provide support to the Development Team on understanding the System Model
7. Perform peer review of work carried out by colleagues
8. Apply knowledge of SatCom and experience on Defence-based projects
9. Maintain strong communication and documentation skills
10. Work collaboratively within a team environment
11. Exhibit excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
12. Possess knowledge of Radio Planning
13. Experience working in an Agile environment
14. Have software development experience
15. Hold a Degree in Computer Science or a related field (minimum 2.1)
16. Experience with SatComs, Software Defined Networking, and Network Monitoring/Management
