The Teacher of Girls’ PE will join a vibrant department and work together to ensure that the Academy’s vision of excellence and success is achieved within this department. Through having the highest expectations, you will be able to continue to drive up standards of achievement, attainment and enjoyment for the subject so that all pupils can make exceptional progress.
The successful applicant will be committed to leading learning which has high quality teaching and learning at its heart. You will be passionate about teaching PE, have a strong desire to develop, within pupils, a real interest in the subject, by offering them a range of high quality experiences both inside and outside of the classroom. You will also be committed to ensuring that all pupils are given the best opportunities to succeed and use strategies that will ignite within each learner a strong desire to achieve their very best.
The successful candidate will be able to enthuse, motivate and inspire children, generating within them a love for learning. Good teamwork, high standards and a capacity for hard work will have been at the core of your success. You will be a creative thinker with an ability and determination to develop the academy as a centre of excellence within their subject area.
CONTRACT/POSITION DETAILS
1. Location – North Manchester
2. Position – PE Teacher (KS3/4)
3. Start date – September 2024
4. Duration – on going
5. Contract type – Temporary
6. Full time
7. Minimum rate of pay – £120
8. Hours – 8:15 am – 4pm
EXPERIENCE, TRAINING AND QUALIFICATIONS
9. Degree educated with a good classification, (desirable to be in a humanities based subject)
10. Secondary QTS (PGCE, SCITT,, QTS, etc) in Geography, History or RE
11. Previous experience teaching History to young people (which we can reference)
12. Experience of teaching in a UK Secondary School (which we can reference)
13. Up to date Safeguarding training issued in the last year (essential, training can be provided)
14. Up to date prevent awareness training that is issued in the last 3 years (essential, training can be provided)
TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THIS ROLE THROUGH PROSPERO TEACHING, YOU MUST:
15. Hold Right to Work in the UK
16. Hold an enhanced DBS certificate that is on the update service or be willing to process a new application
17. Provide at least two professional child related references to cover the last two years
