No prior teaching experience is required, only a specialist subject you wish to teach. You must have the right to work in the UK and be over 18. Confidence and excellent communication skills are beneficial.
Working hours and benefits
Instructor hours are flexible, occurring within the school day (8.30am – 3.15pm). Schools operate Monday to Friday and are closed during holidays, providing ample free time. You’ll also receive holiday pay during Christmas, Easter, and summer holidays. Starting rate is £100 per day.
Flexibility
With Coyle Education, you control your shifts, allowing you to organize your week according to your needs. You can work full-time or part-time. The school year has 195 days, and salaries typically range from over £21,500 depending on location and experience.
Key responsibilities
We partner with many secondary schools across Suffolk, Essex, East London, and Hertfordshire, providing Cover Supervisors and Graduate Instructors. Maintaining high standards when covering lessons is essential.
As an Instructor, your responsibilities include:
* Arriving promptly and settling classrooms calmly
* Following lesson plans and ensuring work completion
* Setting clear expectations and managing behaviour
* Reporting issues to senior staff
* Collecting and reviewing completed work
