Job Purpose:
To provide effective supervision and support to care staff in the community, ensuring high standards of care are delivered in line with company policies, CQC requirements, and the individual needs of service users. The Field Supervisor will act as a link between the office team, care staff, service users, and their families, promoting a culture of quality of service, safety, and person-centred care.
Key Responsibilities
Supervision & Support
* Conduct regular spot checks, observations, and supervision sessions with care staff to ensure
* compliance with care plans, policies, and regulatory standards.
* Provide on-the-job coaching and guidance to care staff, promoting best practice.
* Support with induction and mentoring of new care staff in the field.
Quality Assurance
* Monitor the quality of care delivered, addressing concerns promptly and escalating where necessary.
* Ensure service users’ needs are met with dignity, respect, and compassion.
* Assist in the implementation and monitoring of care plans, risk assessments, and medication procedures.
* Carry out checks on Manual Handling process and ensuring compliancy
Service User Liaison
* Carry out initial assessments, reviews, and ongoing monitoring visits with service users.
* Respond to service user queries, complaints, or concerns, resolving issues sensitively and effectively.
* Maintain positive relationships with service users, families, healthcare professionals, and the wider community.
Team Coordination
* Support the office team in managing rotas, staff allocation, and emergency cover when required.
* Communicate effectively with colleagues to ensure continuity of care.
* Contribute to team meetings, training sessions, and service improvement initiatives.
Job Description

* Ensure accurate completion of all necessary documentation, including supervision notes, incident reports, and care records.
* Adhere to CQC regulations, safeguarding procedures, and company policies at all times.
* Report safeguarding concerns or incidents promptly in line with safeguarding policies.
Person Specification
Essential:
* Previous experience in domiciliary care or a similar supervisory role.
* Strong knowledge of CQC standards and safeguarding responsibilities.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to motivate, support, and supervise a team of care staff.
* Good organisational skills and ability to prioritise workload.
* Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as required.
* Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle.
Desirable:
* NVQ/QCF Level 3 (or working towards) in Health & Social Care.
* Experience in conducting assessments and care planning
* Understanding of medication management and health & safety procedures
