Business Services Assistant Manager / Manager

We are now recruiting for a Business Services Assistant Manager or Manager (depending on experience) to join our growing team in Kendal.


The Role

The main elements of this role will include:

* Ensuring accounting assignments are conducted in accordance with Armstrong Watson procedures for their portfolio of clients
* Being a main contact for clients and ensuring their queries are dealt with in a timely manner
* Briefing Business Services Assistants / Seniors appropriately at the start of an assignment ensuring the job plan and budget are clearly understood and approved
* Overseeing and providing technical support to Business Services Assistants / Seniors
* Defining formal objectives for Business Services Assistants / Seniors
* Managing your own portfolio and communicating with the relevant Business Services Partner to ensure internal and external deadlines are met


The Candidate

In order to fulfil the responsibilities of the position, we would like candidates to be / have:

* A Full UK Driving Licence
* Either ICAS, ACA or ACCA qualified
* Experience of working in an accounting capacity at an Accountancy practice
* Comfortable working in a fast‑paced environment
* A dedicated team player, and willing to assist colleagues in the team where possible
* Able to prioritise workloads under strict deadlines and work well under pressure
* Able to use initiative and have great organisation / problem solving skills
* Keen to become part of a dynamic team
