Job Description Key Responsibilities Manage day-to-day procurement activities for metallic raw materials, including requisitions, purchase orders, change orders, supplier validation, and the timely resolution of invoice and goods receipt queries. Work closely with planning and inventory control to ensure stock levels are effectively managed, late purchase and works orders are expedited, and any risks to the production schedule are identified early and addressed with practical solutions. Monitor supplier performance and develop vendor relationships to improve on-time delivery, product quality, lead times, and overall supply reliability, while supporting the use of preferred suppliers and escalating exceptions where required. Identify and deliver cost improvement opportunities through supplier analysis, sourcing strategies, supply agreements, and collaboration with engineering on product changes and new product introductions. Support continuous improvement across procurement and supply chain activities by managing supply chain risks, updating procedures and work instructions, participating in performance and planning meetings, and contributing to the achievement of on-time delivery, lead-time, and inventory turn targets.
