Mechanical Design Engineer Robertson Geo is a global company based in North Wales, designing, developing, and manufacturing market-leading geophysical wireline technologies. Our products are trusted worldwide for their accuracy and reliability in challenging environments. We are looking for a Mechanical Design Engineer to join our multi-disciplinary engineering team. This role offers the opportunity to work on varied projects, including wireline winches, surface equipment, and borehole logging probes designed for high-pressure and demanding conditions. As part of a small, focused team, you will take projects from concept and prototyping through to testing and production, playing a key role in delivering robust and innovative solutions. Key duties and responsibilities * Design and develop mechanical solutions that integrate with electronic systems * Present and discuss ideas during design review meetings * Assemble and test prototype designs * Analyse designs using engineering calculations and Finite Element Analysis (FEA) * Create engineering technical drawings and assembly procedures to be used by the in-house and sub-contracted manufacturing teams * Produce technical data packs in accordance with relevant CE, UKCA and ISO 9001 standards * Provide engineering support for the manufacture and improvement of established products through corrective action request (CAR) system * Engage with colleagues fro...
