Robert Half are working with a client within the Agriculture sector recruiting for a Business Systems Manager.
Lead and manage core business systems to ensure they are reliable, secure, well-supported and aligned to business needs. Act as a business partner to functional owners, overseeing day-to-day operations, system improvements and supplier-delivered change, while supporting the ongoing transition from on-premises IFS to IFS Cloud.
Key responsibilities
* Own the performance, support and roadmap of core business systems, including ERP, warehouse scanning, route planning, mailing solutions, SharePoint and related platforms.
* Manage the day-to-day operation of the on-premises IFS environment, including system stability, support, configuration and continuous improvement.
* Partner with business stakeholders to improve workflows, system adoption and business outcomes.
* Coordinate internal business workstreams for the IFS Cloud migration and manage delivery by third-party partners.
* Ensure appropriate business continuity, disaster recovery, security and regulatory compliance across business systems.
* Oversee warehouse systems and handheld scanning solutions to support accurate stock and operational processes across sites.
* Manage suppliers, contracts, licences, SLAs and escalations to ensure quality, value and timely resolution.
* Monitor business systems support tickets and ensure effective service delivery.
* Work closely with infrastructure and support teams to deliver a joined-up IT service and one-team approach.
* Lead internal and offshore support resources where applicable.
Key requirements
* Experience managing ERP and wider business systems in a complex operational environment.
* Strong knowledge of IFS or similar systems, ideally across on-premises support and cloud migration.
* Experience managing system integrations, customisations and third-party vendors.
* Good understanding of change control, release management, service delivery and compliance.
* Experience supporting warehouse-related systems and operational business processes.
* Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to work in a business-partnering capacity.
* Experience managing remote or offshore teams.
