Workshop EngineerMaterials HandlingLocation: KetteringSalary: £30,000 – £38,000 DOE + Overtime + BenefitsHours: Full-Time (40 hours per week, Monday–Friday)About the RoleWe are recruiting for a Multi-Skilled Workshop Engineer to join a well-established and growing engineering business.In this role, you will be responsible for servicing, maintaining, and repairing a range of materials handling equipment and plant machinery within a busy workshop environment. You will work as part of a skilled engineering team and report directly to the Workshop Manager.This is a hands-on workshop-based role offering stability, technical variety, and opportunities for ongoing development within a supportive, family-oriented business.Key ResponsibilitiesService, maintain, and repair materials handling and powered access equipmentDiagnose faults and carry out mechanical and electrical repairsReplace or repair faulty components as requiredPrepare equipment for customer delivery and inspectionsComplete planned maintenance and workshop repair tasks efficientlyWork closely with the Workshop Manager & Service Team to prioritise and complete workloadsEnsure all work is completed to a high standard and in line with Health & Safety regulationsComplete relevant job documentation and adhere to company proceduresSupport continuous improvement and maintain a clean, safe workshop environmentContinuously develop your technical skills through training and hands-on experienceAbout YouExperience working as a Workshop Engineer, Plant Engineer, Forklift Engineer, or similar roleMulti-skilled with strong mechanical and electrical fault-finding abilitiesExperience working on materials handling equipment, forklifts, plant, or powered access equipmentStrong problem-solving skills and attention to detailAble to work independently and as part of a teamGood communication and organisational skillsAble to work to deadlines while maintaining high standardsCommitted to Health & Safety complianceWhat's on OfferCompetitive salary: £30,000 – £38,000 (depending on experience)Flexible working hours (40hrs Mon – Fri between 7:00 – 18:00)Potential overtime opportunities24 days holiday + bank holidaysCompany pension schemeFull training and ongoing personal developmentStable workshop-based role with minimal travelSupportive, team-focused working environmentWhy Join?Be part of a long-established, family-owned group with a strong reputation for quality and service.
