Hendon Hospital in London is part of Circle Health Group, Britain's leading provider of independent healthcare with a nationwide network of hospitals & clinics, performing more complex surgery than any other private healthcare provider in the country.

We have an opportunity for a Radiographer to join their team of staff in the Imaging department.

This is a bank role working on an “as and when required” basis; you will be required to supplement staffing levels during busy periods and provide cover for existing staff in times of annual leave or absence.

Duties

* Perform a wide range of diagnostic radiographic procedures (e.g., general X-rays, theatre, fluoroscopy, mobiles) following referral and imaging protocols.
* Ensure high-quality images are produced to support accurate diagnosis, minimising the need for repeat exposures.
* Adapt techniques to meet the needs of individual patients, including paediatrics, bariatrics, and patients with limited mobility.
* Provide a safe, dignified, and person-centred service, ensuring patients are informed, comfortable, and reassured throughout their examination.
* Monitor patients’ conditions during procedures and respond appropriately to any signs of deterioration.
* Ensure equipment is checked, maintained, and used safely and effectively, reporting faults promptly.
* Assist in the implementation and use of new imaging technologies, techniques, and digital systems (e.g., PACS, RIS).
* Work closely with radiologists, consultants, nurses, porters, and admin teams to coordinate care efficiently and maintain smooth patient pathways.

Qualifications

* BSc (Hons) in Diagnostic Radiography or equivalent qualification.
* HCPC registration as a Diagnostic Radiographer.
* Experience in general radiographic techniques and equipment.
* Good understanding of IR(ME)R, health & safety, infection control, and patient confidentiality requirements.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a patient-centred approach.
* Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
* Postgraduate experience or additional training in a specialist area desirable (e.g., CT, MRI, theatre imaging, mammography).
