Careers Adviser

We are looking to appoint a Careers Adviser to join our progressive careers department to help equip students to thrive in their next steps. The successful candidate will be part of a key team who oversee the school’s careers education and work experience programme, providing CEIAG guidance (Careers Education, Information, Advice and Guidance) to pupils via individual appointments, drop‑in sessions, group workshops, or sessions delivered as part of our SPHERE programme or curriculum‑specific events. The careers team also oversees and produces a range of resources for students to plan their next steps.
The ideal candidate will have a careers guidance qualification at Level 4 or Above and experience working with young people.
The post is for four days per week (28 hours per week), based on 8:00 am to 4:10 pm, Monday to Thursday, during term time (38 weeks) plus five staff learning days; equalling 39 weeks per annum.
Starting salary for a full‑time post at Band G (points 12‑18) is within the range £28,598 to £31,537, depending on experience and qualifications. The actual salary for the hours/weeks worked will be in the range £18,749 – £20,676 subject to any continuous service.
