Goods Inwards & Parts Person

My client is seeking a dedicated Goods Inwards & Parts Person to join their team at the Dartford branch. This role involves managing the day-to-day operations of the goods inward area and handling parts and showroom related deliveries. Additionally, you will assist with retail sales within the showroom, encompassing Parts, Hardware, Clothing, and Groundcare machinery.
Day-to-day of the role:
* Manage the goods inward area and oversee all parts and showroom related deliveries.
* Assist with retail sales in the showroom, ensuring a high level of customer service at all times.
* Handle queries relating to the products and services supplied by the company, both face-to-face and over the telephone.
* Support internal workshop technicians with parts identification.
* Manage stock transfers into the stores and showroom, unpacking branch 'bins', and processing supplier parcels.
* Load and unload internal lorry and manage customer delivery and collection shelves.
* Conduct stock checking as required and manage showroom stock.
* Provide efficient, effective, and friendly customer service.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
* Interest in general machinery (beneficial but not essential).
* Ability to work under pressure during busy periods and enjoy a busy atmosphere.
* Good communication skills across various platforms including face-to-face, email, and telephone.
* Experience in a retail environment and showroom experience (desirable).
* General computer skills and familiarity with email and internet use.
* Good numeracy and literacy skills.
* Smart and presentable appearance with attention to detail.
* Team player capable of working independently or with other team members.
* Full driving licence.
* Maintain a good general level of health and fitness.
