Personal Assistant (PA) to Director
Location: Saint Helens (Hybrid: 3 days offsite with Director / 2 days working from home) Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience

About the Role:
We are seeking a highly organised, discreet, and proactive Personal Assistant to provide full-time, high-level support to a busy Director who oversees multiple high-turnover companies and holds a Board Director position with a well-known sporting organisation.
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced PA who thrives in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and enjoys working closely with a senior leader to manage day-to-day operations, communications, and priorities. You will act as the Director's right hand — ensuring their time, commitments, and workload are managed effectively and efficiently.. You will spend 3 days per week working directly alongside the Director offsite, and 2 days working from home to manage emails, correspondence, scheduling, and follow-up actions. Due to the nature of the role travel with the director may be required from time to time.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide comprehensive PA support to the Director across all business interests.
* Manage a busy and complex diary, coordinating meetings, events, and appointments.
* Arrange and manage national and international travel, including flights, trains, hotels, and detailed itineraries. Screen and prioritise calls, emails, and correspondence; manage call-backs and follow-ups professionally.
* Draft, edit, and proofread correspondence, reports, and presentations with exceptional accuracy.
* Track and follow up on key business actions and projects.
* Liaise confidently with internal teams, board members, clients, and external stakeholders.
* Maintain absolute confidentiality, professionalism, and discretion at all times.
* Respond promptly to changing priorities and urgent matters, ensuring the Director remains fully supported.
About You: You will be an experienced, professional, and dependable PA who can anticipate needs, take initiative, and deliver high-quality work under pressure. You'll be IT-savvy, have excellent written and verbal communication skills, and possess a calm and organised approach to managing competing priorities.
Essential Skills & Experience:
* Proven experience as a PA, EA, or similar role supporting a senior executive.
* Excellent time-management skills with strong attention to detail.
* Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
* Proficient in Microsoft Office, Outlook, and modern scheduling or project management tools.
* Discreet, trustworthy, and able to handle sensitive and confidential information.
* Flexible and adaptable to the changing demands of a busy executive.
* Comfortable working both independently and as part of a fast-paced, high-performing environment.
Desirable:
* Experience supporting multiple business interests or high-profile individuals.
* An understanding of the sports or corporate sector.
* Working Pattern & Location
* Full-time, permanent role.
* 3 days per week working directly alongside the Director (offsite, various locations as required).
* 2 days per week working from home.
* Candidates should be based in Saint Helens or within easy reach of the surrounding areas.
