About the Team:
Are you an experienced Team Manager with a passion for improving safeguarding practice and driving highquality multiagency work across Warwickshire?
We are seeking a permanent Team Manager to lead our Audits and Safeguarding Partnership programme. The successful candidate will oversee the Children and Families Practice Improvement programme, leading on Safeguarding Partnership engagement activities, driving learning from practice, and ensuring that improvement loops are fully closed to embed sustainable change.
This role plays a vital part in supporting Warwickshire’s statutory duties within the Warwickshire Safeguarding Children Partnership (WSCP) and contributes to positive outcomes for children, young people and families.

About the Role:
As Team Manager, you will lead a team of auditors responsible for evaluating the effectiveness of safeguarding arrangements and internal practice across Warwickshire. Your team will oversee thematic audit activities, undertaking moderations and detailed audit work. You will ensure that findings are clearly presented to a range of internal and partnership forums, providing advisory support to drive service development and continuous improvement.
You will represent Children’s Services at a safeguarding partnership level, ensuring that quality assurance activity directly informs practice improvement, strategic priorities, and multiagency learning. This includes providing rigorous oversight of safeguarding governance, coordinating responses to OFSTED notifications and alerts, and contributing to Child Safeguarding Practice Reviews (CSPRs), critical incident responses, and associated learning processes to ensure high quality, timely and transparent safeguarding practice across the system.

Key Requirements:
5. Lead and supervise the Quality Assurance team to deliver high quality audit, review and learning activity aligned to WSCP frameworks
6. Oversee multiagency audits, dip samples, deep dives and thematic reviews, producing clear analysis of strengths, risks and areas for improvement
7. Convert audit findings into actionable learning, leading reflective groups and feedback sessions to embed improvements
8. Ensure the voices of children, young people and families inform assurance and practice development
9. Produce high quality reports for strategic boards and partnership groups, ensuring compliance with WSCP governance and information sharing requirements
10. Support through partnership accountability, continuous improvement, and systemwide safeguarding assurance
11. Be a key link for C&F to the WSCP supporting all levels of child and family reviews; including attendance at key review meetings and panels
12. Influence partnership priorities and decision making by ensuring audit findings drive service development and policy change
Applicants must have a professional qualification in Social Work and Social Work England Registration.
