This role will support B1, HALO, SERPENS, Product Bids, and other Projects within the Survivability LoB.
This opportunity requires experience working with the UK Ministry of Defence, preferably leading framework/product projects.
The ideal candidate will be experienced in working across different organisational levels and in strategic programme and project management, setting direction, and securing senior buy-in to deliver successful outcomes.
You will succeed by applying modern, effective Project Management techniques and developing your professional and personal skills.
You will work closely with the Campaign Manager to balance resources and risks, achieving revenue and cash targets aligned with business strategy.
Primary Job Purpose:
* Execute contracts fully regarding schedule, cost, and quality.
* Manage relationships with external customers, subcontractors, partners, and internal functions, balancing business and stakeholder needs.
* Build trusted relationships, creating value for both customers and Roke.
* Plan and mobilise contracts successfully.
* Identify, prioritise, and mitigate risks and issues related to bidding and delivery.
* Bid confidently, considering schedule, cost, and quality factors.
* Report and forecast accurately against KPIs.
* Continuously improve delivery capabilities alongside bids and contracts.
* Ensure all projects are delivered on time, within scope, quality, and cost, acting as Project Manager when needed.
Key Responsibilities:
* Build and manage project teams effectively.
* Deliver bids and contracts on schedule, within budget, and to quality standards, understanding and executing the governing contract.
* Manage risks and issues proactively, escalating as necessary.
* Provide accurate forecasts and project reports, managing stakeholder expectations.
* Control and produce project artefacts to high standards, including plans, estimates, specifications, and testing documents.
Skills Required:
* Extensive knowledge of Portfolio Management.
* Project Management qualifications (e.g., APM, PMI, Prince2).
* SAFe/Agile certifications.
* APM PMQ qualification or working towards it.
* Experience in product development or research and consultancy.
* Experience delivering IT projects using Agile methods.
* Knowledge of Scrum.
* Strong interpersonal skills to negotiate and communicate openly with stakeholders.
* Technical experience working within complex, multi-team environments.
