About the Position
We are looking to recruit an exceptional candidate for the role of SENDCo to lead our SEND department at Magna Academy Poole. This position offers a permanent full‑time role with a salary range of L2‑L6, beginning September 2026.
Responsibilities
* Lead the development of effective teaching and learning strategies that respond to a wide range of SEND needs and abilities.
* Observe students in both academic and social settings, providing practical guidance and support to staff.
* Coordinate key processes such as EHCP needs assessments and Annual Reviews in line with the SEND Code of Practice.
* Collaborate closely with families, external professionals, and the Vice Principal for Inclusion.
* Support staff in overcoming barriers to learning and promoting inclusive practice throughout the academy.
Qualifications
* Qualified teacher with a strong track record in teaching.
* NASENCO qualification in working with students with SEND.
* Comfortable with using data and observation to inform practice.
* Excellent communication, team‑working and organisational skills.
