We have an opportunity for an Office Assistant to join our team in Hindley Green, Wigan on a full-time, permanent basis. You should have strong administration skills with excellent attention to detail and the ability to multitask.

Your role will be to ensure professional and welcoming front-of-house reception services with administrative support to the HR department and wider business, ensuring the smooth running of operations.

Key responsibilities and accountabilities


Front of House Duties

* Greet visitors in a professional and friendly manner
* Answer and direct incoming calls, take messages, and manage the reception inbox
* Manage incoming mail and deliveries
* Assist with booking meeting rooms and coordinating visitor appointments
* Assist with arranging lunches and refreshments for external meetings as required
* Prepare orders and organise distribution of weekly food deliveries; monitor usage to minimise wastage


HR Administration

* Maintain and update employee records and HR databases
* Complete agency timesheets weekly and respond to agency queries
* Support recruitment processes including scheduling interviews, preparing documentation, and liaising with candidates
* Assist with onboarding processes including uniform orders and ID card preparation
* Prepare HR-related letters as required
* Ensure confidentiality and compliance with data protection regulations
* Assist in organising training sessions and maintaining training records


Required skills and experience

* Previous experience in a general administrative role with knowledge of front-of-house duties
* Experience with HR-related admin duties preferred
* GCSEs (or equivalent) including English and Maths
* Highly organised, discreet, approachable, and proactive
* Strong administrative skills, attention to detail, ability to multitask
