Role: Risk Systems Analyst (PowerCurve/SDS) - 9 month FTC
Location: Doncaster or Manchester (Hybrid, initially 2-3 days/week in office, reducing to 1 day)
Salary: Circa £53K + benefits
Firstly let me say, we get it, FTC isn't everyone's first choice, BUT, this is a fantastic bank that genuinely likes keeping good people, so extension and internal opportunities are very real possibilities. You'll own a high-profile project and work alongside a brilliant team.
A growing specialist bank at the forefront of consumer and commercial lending is looking for a Risk Systems Analyst to join their Credit Acquisitions team on a project-focused 9-month FTC. This role sits at the intersection of credit risk and technology, responsible for building, testing, implementing and maintaining Credit Risk new business strategies within a PowerCurve/SDS underwriting and decisioning environment.
If you're a systems-minded credit risk professional who enjoys getting into the detail of how decisions are built and executed, this is a genuinely interesting piece of work with a clear scope and a strong team around you.
What you'll be doing: You'll build and test new credit risk strategies, policy rules, scorecards, cut-offs and orchestration within Powercurve credit decisioning systems. You'll scope and specify detailed requirements for strategy changes, execute credit testing, and provide support and investigation for defect resolution, liaising with IT, Change and testing teams. You'll support ongoing BAU strategy development and change control governance, produce regular Risk Systems updates for the wider Credit team, and assist with defining new credit data warehouse datasets and SAS Enterprise Guide integration. You'll also provide credit support to Operations, IT, and Customer Acquisition teams, ensuring all credit governance requirements are met.
So, if you have experience in:
* Hands-on use of Experian's Powercurve / SDS systems, this one is non-negotiable
* Building, testing and implementing credit acquisition strategy including strategy coding, system development and testing
* Credit Risk Decision Systems including change control and governance processes
* Writing code confidently, SAS, SQL, Alteryx or similar are tools you use day to day
* Extracting, manipulating and interpreting large datasets, data mining is second nature to you
* Approaching complex problems methodically and not shying away from getting into the detail
Then we want to speak with you - and so will they!
Desirable: credit scoring/scorecard development experience, retail finance background, project management and system testing background.
