This internal IT support role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment with the freedom to manage projects end-to-end. Working directly with a tight-knit team, you'll be the driving force behind keeping infrastructure secure, scalable, and future-ready. Key Responsibilities
1. Provide second-line support for hardware, software, and bespoke systems (inc. specialist process control tools).
2. Lead network configuration, firewall management, and router/switch diagnostics.
3. Implement software and security upgrades across all user devices and site infrastructure.
4. Take ownership of projects such as:
5. Deployable and solar-powered CCTV systems
6. New VoIP phone systems
7. Firewall hardening and network segmentation
8. Off-site disaster recovery solutions
9. Work autonomously and flexibly with on-site support and after-hours response as required.
Ideal Candidate
10. 2 years' experience in an IT support role, ideally second-line or generalist.
11. Solid foundation in networking (TCP/IP, DNS, firewalls, VPNs) and Windows OS.
12. Comfortable supporting and upgrading a wide range of internal systems (CCTV, access control, specialist industrial software).
13. Strong initiative and able to manage your own workload without micromanagement.
14. Projects or field work in infrastructure, security systems or SME environments is a plus.
