I am seeking to recruit an amazing PA for my amazing Mum based in Helmsley, North Yorkshire.
Mum is 64 and has a complex autoimmune/neurological illness that over time has unfortunately reduced her level of independence. Furthermore, in the last 3 months, Mum has been diagnosed with endometrial cancer and over the next 6 months will be embarking on chemotherapy and radiotherapy treatment in Leeds.
As such, this is a very difficult period in Mum's life.
Mum is warm, friendly, proud, and chatty - she loves wildlife, music, reading, history, and period dramas. She currently lives on her own in a supported living environment.
Responsibilities may vary due to the ongoing cancer care; however, may typically include:
1. Basic meal preparation.
2. Help with shopping.
3. Household tasks and cleaning.
4. Prescription collection from chemist/GP (2 mins by car/10 mins walk).
5. Accompanying Mum for short walks and fresh air.
6. General companionship.
We are looking for someone who can build a relationship with Mum over the long-term.
Approximate hours = 10-15+ per week and negotiable. Seeking flexibility where possible.
