Our client is a fast-growing specialist in energy efficiency and low-carbon retrofit, delivering large-scale residential upgrade programmes across the UK.
Working closely with housing associations and public sector clients, they provide full turnkey solutions including insulation, renewable technologies, and decarbonisation works - playing a key role in the UK's journey to net zero.
Due to continued growth and a strong pipeline of secured work, they are now looking to appoint a Quantity Surveyor to support commercial delivery across multiple projects.
The Role
As Quantity Surveyor, you will take ownership of the commercial management of retrofit and refurbishment schemes, ensuring projects are delivered profitably while maintaining strong client relationships.
You'll be working across a mix of EWI, insulation, roofing, and renewable installation projects, often within occupied social housing environments.
Key Responsibilities
Full commercial management of projects from pre-construction through to final account
Preparation and submission of valuations, variations, and final accounts
Cost control, forecasting, and reporting
Subcontractor procurement, negotiation, and management
Contract administration (typically JCT / framework agreements)
Liaising with operational teams, clients, and stakeholders
Ensuring projects are delivered within budget and commercial targets
Requirements
Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor within construction
Experience in refurbishment, social housing, or retrofit (highly desirable)
Strong understanding of commercial processes and cost management
Experience managing subcontractor packages
Good knowledge of JCT contracts (or similar)
Strong communication and negotiation skills
Full UK driving licence
Package
£55,000 - £65,000 basic salary
Bonus scheme (10-15% based on company performance)
