What does a day in the life of an Assistant Shop Manager involve?
* Collaborating with the shop manager to run a profitable, customer-focused shop that serves as the 'window of the British Red Cross' on the high street.
* Working on the shop floor and coordinating behind-the-scenes activities—no two days are the same.
* Fostering a brilliant shopping environment and providing an excellent customer experience.
* Overseeing a team of dedicated volunteers, including their induction, management, and development.
To be successful as an Assistant Shop Manager, you will need:
* Experience in retail, with a good understanding of shop operations.
* Excellent interpersonal skills, enjoying providing great customer service and supporting a team.
* Commercial awareness, understanding financial targets and measures, along with IT skills.
* Flexibility to work according to the store's needs.
