The role:
We are seeking a talented and highly motivated individual to join our Criminology team as a Lecturer in Criminology and Foundation Degree in Criminal Justice. This is a permanent, full-time position responsible for delivering the WJEC Level 3 Criminology Curriculum and Foundation Degree in Criminal Justice. Criminology is a popular course at our college, and this role offers an opportunity to join a thriving department with a supportive teaching environment.
* Full-time, 37 hours per week
* Salary: £22,000 - £45,000 per annum (dependent on qualifications and experience)
* Based at Gorseinon and Tycoch Campuses
Key Responsibilities:
* Deliver excellent teaching, learning, and assessment.
* Plan, prepare, and teach Level 3 Criminology and Foundation Degree in Criminal Justice, ensuring schemes of work and assessments meet exam board specifications.
* Develop teaching strategies and materials to cater to diverse learner needs.
* Assess and monitor learner progress, set targets, and maintain records of achievements.
* Stay updated on curriculum developments, subject knowledge, and innovative teaching practices.
About you:
* Passionate about teaching and learning.
* Hold a degree in Criminology or a relevant qualification.
* Possess a teaching qualification or be willing to work towards one.
* Demonstrate successful teaching experience.
