Overview
The Waste and Street Scene department requires an enthusiastic and committed mobile street cleansing operative to join our hardworking and enthusiastic team. We are currently looking for a Mobile Cleansing Operative to join our Northallerton team. Our staff undertake duties across a range of urban and rural locations.
Responsibilities
* Driving a 3.5-ton vehicle
* Litter picking and the collection of litter and dog bins
* Any other duties commensurate with the role
Working requirements
We aim to provide the best possible service to our residents; therefore it will be necessary to have a good understanding of the importance of a high level of customer care. You will be required to undertake heavy workloads, with the ability to operate with the minimum of supervision either independently or as a member of a team and be able to work on your own initiative.
Working pattern
A full uniform will be provided. We can offer a standard working pattern of 6.15 am to 4.15 pm over a 4-day working week, including weekends on a rota basis. However, we do ask that you have a flexible approach to working hours with occasional out of hours work when required; optional overtime is available on a regular basis.
