Robert Half is partnering with a growing medical device company based in Royston to recruit a Financial Accountant. This is an excellent opportunity to join a regulated, innovation-led organisation operating in an international group structure, offering strong exposure to statutory reporting, technical accounting, and consolidation activities.
Reporting into the Financial Controller, the Financial Accountant will play a key role in ensuring robust financial reporting, balance sheet integrity, and compliance across the business.
Key Responsibilities
1. Ownership of balance sheet accounting, including reconciliations, reviews, and resolution of complex items
2. Preparation of statutory accounts in line with UK GAAP / IFRS and liaison with external auditors
3. Support group consolidations, including intercompany reconciliations and eliminations
4. Manage tax-related activities, including corporation tax computations, deferred tax, and coordination with external tax advisors
5. Ensure compliance with regulatory and internal control requirements relevant to a medical device environment
6. Contribute to month-end close processes and continuous improvement of reporting and controls
7. Support ad-hoc technical accounting queries and projects as the business continues to scale
Your Profile
8. Qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA) or equivalent
9. Strong experience in financial accounting, ideally within a manufacturing, life sciences, or regulated environment
10. Solid understanding of balance sheet accounting, statutory reporting, tax, and consolidations
11. Comfortable working within a group structure
12. Strong attention to detail with the ability to communicate clearly with stakeholders
