Offer description

Overview

Work where it matters most, achieve what matters more. Be part of a team where passion meets purpose, as we work together where the challenge is greatest, to change lives and build the futures of children and young people.

Join a growing, forward‑thinking IT team. Are you an enthusiastic IT professional with a passion for helping people and a knack for problem‑solving? We’re looking for two proactive, customer‑focused IT Technicians to support our staff and students across multiple academy sites in West London.

This hands-on role is primarily based at Ormiston Latimer Academy, but flexibility to travel between our London academies is essential.

As an IT Technician, you’ll be a key part of our on‑site technical support team delivering high‑quality first‑line and some second‑line support, while also getting involved in exciting developments as part of our cloud‑first transformation programme.

Responsibilities

* Providing responsive, approachable support to staff and students
* Building strong, trusted relationships across each academy
* Supporting the delivery and management of cloud-first initiatives
* Offering technical guidance to colleagues and stakeholders
* Working with senior staff to ensure technology empowers teaching, learning, and the wider school community

Why work for Ormiston?

Our vision is to create a school system where every child thrives, regardless of background. Our people are at the heart of our approach – they are our greatest asset. We exist to provide the best learning opportunities every day, in every school for every child. It is the people and teams in our Trust who make this a reality and ensure we have the greatest impact. If you join us at Ormiston, whatever your role, your work will have purpose and meaning.

* The opportunity to build on the legacy of those who came before – being part of one of the longest standing Trusts, created with the sole purpose of enabling children and young people to thrive
* Working for a Trust nationally recognised for its impact on disadvantaged children – a rewarding, stimulating career where staff are challenged to be the best they can be, for the pupils we are proud to serve
* Being part of a team and community where you belong – being part of a well‑resourced and ambitious network of experts and professionals that work at the heart of communities
* A supportive environment to grow your career – an extensive professional development programme, alongside flexible working arrangements and generous benefits

About You

We are looking for someone who is:

* Experienced in providing IT support in a workplace environment.
* Skilled in troubleshooting hardware, software, and devices (desktops, laptops, tablets, printers, mobiles).
* Confident using Microsoft 365, Azure, Teams, SharePoint, and Active Directory.
* Able to explain technical information clearly to non-technical users.

We have already taken significant steps on our journey to improve IT services and, with significant future investment planned, our improvement trajectory over the coming years is ambitious. To make this happen, we need you.

How to apply

If you have any questions about the role or would like to arrange an informal discussion, please contact recruitment@ormistonacademies.co.uk. To apply for the role please submit an application form via the link above before the closing date on Monday 23rd February. CVs will not be accepted.
