Were looking for an experienced chef de partie to join our small, open kitchen at Post in Newnham on Severn. This is a permanent position for a chef with a good grounding in quality kitchens, but moreover a positive attitude and a real desire to develop and improve your craft.
Chef patron Fred Page has extensive experience in Michelin star restaurants, and learning and refining your skills alongside Fred will be a central part of the role. Our menu changes weekly according to the seasons, we make almost everything from scratch, grow our own produce and source directly from small-scale farmers.
Youll be expected to:
* Run daily service and prep with efficiency and consistency
* Run kitchen compliance and maintain high standards of food hygiene
* Handle quality ingredients with care and attention.
* Contribute ideas to developing new dishes on our ever changing menu
* Place nightly orders and uphold great supplier relations
* Butcher whole animals / fish
Requirements:
* Solid experience in a quality kitchen
* A can do attitude: calm under pressure, reliable and an eagerness to learn
* A passion for sustainability, provenance, and minimal waste
* An open schedule that allows you to work evenings and weekends (Wednesday to Sunday)
